Rugby Oregon has launched a new Strategic Development Plan focused on intentionally expanding youth rugby across schools and communities statewide.
The initiative is designed to build sustainable growth by introducing rugby into new middle and high schools, supporting coach development, leading clinics in underserved communities, and creating stronger pathways for young athletes — including expanded opportunities for girls participation.
To lead this effort, Rugby Oregon is establishing a Program Director position dedicated to school partnerships, statewide outreach, coach mentorship, and coordinating the long-term growth of youth rugby.
The organization is currently raising $15,000 to fund the position and support these initiatives, with donations directly supporting school outreach, new program launches, youth clinics, and coach development.
