Women's D2 Team

2022 and 2023 D2 Senior Women PNRFU Champions!

About the Team

The Portland Pigs Women are an adult club team competing in Division II of the Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union (PNRFU). Our region currently includes teams from Oregon and Washington (and Idaho pre-COVID); for 2023-2024, we will travel as far as Salem, OR and Seattle and Bellingham, WA.

The Pigs Women originally created a team in 2009 and joined the PRC in 2011 as an PNRFU affiliated women's team. Since then, we have continued to finish in the top of the league with several championship titles, and we even went as far as finishing 7th in the nation in 2012.

Most recently in 2022 and 2023, the Women won the DII PNRFU Senior Women Championship and finished Top 8 and Top 16 in the nation, respectively. We continue to see our numbers grow and maintain a strong competitor within PNRFU.

Mens D2 & D3 Teams

Currently the club has both D2 and D3 Mens teams.

About the Teams

The Portland Rugby Club (PRC) is currently in its 61st year of continuous rugby play in the Pacific Northwest, where the rainy, muddy weather (and a chance visit from a stray pig many decades ago) has given us the nickname ‘Pigs.’

In the Spring of 2011, the men’s team finished 9th place in the US, the highest we have ever placed in club history since the creation of a national rugby system. In 2016, the men’s club won the Pacific Northwest Rugby Football Union (PNRFU) DII championship, which guaranteed promotion to PNRFU division one. We look forward to continuing this success on and off the pitch with your help.
