This past weekend on April 11, the club played its final matches at Northgate and officially said goodbye to the iconic field.
With the park slated for redevelopment into an aquatic center, it marks the end of an important chapter as the club turns its focus to its next home at Delta Park.
Northgate Park has served as the Portland Rugby Club’s primary home pitch since the early 2010s, when the installation of dedicated rugby posts established it as the only permanent rugby field in Portland’s parks system.
Over the years, it hosted league matches, tournaments, special events, and steady growth across all sides, becoming a central part of the club’s history and identity.

City representatives consulted with the Portland Rugby Club board to help develop a new location that meets the needs of a dedicated rugby pitch and our rugby community.
While saying goodbye to Northgate is bittersweet, the club looks forward to creating new memories in its next chapter at Delta Park.
