Rugby FAQ
What is Rugby?
Rugby is a fast-paced, dynamic sport that combines teamwork, strategy, and athleticism. Played in over 100 countries, rugby fosters resilience, sportsmanship, and community—making it one of the world’s most exciting and inclusive sports.
The Basics
Objective: Two teams compete to carry, pass, or kick the ball across the opponent’s goal line to score points.
Players: Depending on the season, rugby is played with 15 (Spring), 7 (Fall).
Game Length: A standard rugby match consists of two halves (typically 35 minutes each for 15s rugby, 7 minutes for 7s).
Ball Movement: The ball can only be passed backward, but players can run forward and kick to advance.
Tackling & Safety: Player safety is our top priority. Before engaging in contact, all players are trained in proper tackling techniques to protect themselves and their opponents. We focus on safe, controlled, and effective play, ensuring that every athlete gains confidence in contact situations while minimizing the risk of injury.
